ATA Conventions 2018 has ended
This page shows the most up to date schedule of convention sessions offered by Association staff, instructors, and consultants.  As changes occur, they will be reflected here and speakers will be contacted directly.  Room information will be added as it is made available by the convention associations.  Please refer to the Info for Speakers link for instructions on updating your bio, uploading/sharing files with delegates, and hotel information for each convention.  If you have any questions, please contact dan.grassick@ata.ab.ca.

A. Speaker Tools

1. Instructions on updating your profile and session descriptions can be found at this link.

2. Instructions on uploading presentations and documents to share with delegates can be found at this link.

3. Sharing your presentations and documents
Not all conventions are using Sched apps for their events, but you can still share documents uploaded to your sessions on this event. To do so click on the coloured box for your session.  Near the top of the page there is a link provided beside Facebook and Twitter icons.  Providing the link in the textbox (by tweeting it out, printing it out, or displaying it on a whiteboard or powerpoint slide) will allow delegates to access your session info and any documents you've uploaded.

B. Download the App to your Mobile Device

If you go to the convention app site (https://conventions2017.sched.com) on your mobile device, a prompt will appear inviting you to add the app to your device's homescreen.  This will create a shortcut that links to the convention schedule.  It will resemble any other app on your device.

More details can be found on the following page: https://sched.com/support/guide/share-and-get-your-schedule-to-go/

C. Be Prepared: AV Equipment & Things to Take With You

Although conventions have been asked to provide LCD projectors, speakers, and a screen for all sessions, you never know what you're going to get.  For the sake of being prepared, please bring the following with you to each convention:

  • your laptop and power cord
  • your projector and any required adaptors/dongles
  • speakers, if required
  • business cards
